The Role of Feedback in Building Stronger Students

Feedback should help students know what to do next
A mark or grade can tell a student how an assignment was evaluated. Useful feedback goes a step further: it helps the student understand what worked, what needs attention and what the next improvement might look like. When feedback is clear and connected to the learning goal, it becomes part of the learning process rather than simply a response to finished work.
