2025 Graduation Highlights

A tradition of excellence

At Century Private School, academic excellence is not a one-time achievement. It is a consistent standard upheld year after year. Our graduates continue to earn acceptances to top universities across Canada and beyond, pursuing competitive programs in engineering, business, science, technology, and the arts.

These accomplishments reflect the dedication, discipline, and intellectual curiosity that define a Century education. We are proud to celebrate our students’ success as they take the next step in their academic and professional journeys.

Elementary School

In literary excellence, our students demonstrate mastery of the written word by participating in the Polar Expressions Writing competition every year. Last year, an impressive 52 students had their submissions chosen for this prestigious competition, reflecting the depth of creativity and literary skill within our school community.

In the field of mathematics, students from Grades 3 to 8 demonstrate their skills in the Mathematica Centrum National Competition every spring. This year, 59 students received ‘Awards of Distinction’ for scoring above the Canadian average. Twelve students achieved Honor Roll status, and one Grade 8 student earned first-place honors, with Century’s overall school average exceeding the Canadian average for all grades entered. This accomplishment not only speaks to the academic excellence of our students, but also reflects the effectiveness of our dedicated teachers in nurturing and fostering a love for mathematics.

Proving their eloquence and public speaking abilities, elementary students also participate in the annual Heritage Lions Club Effective Speaking Competition. Century is proud to share that students consistently achieve recognition at every competition. Last year, our students earned top honours, placing first, second, and third in both the junior and intermediate divisions. Their success is a testament to their confidence, communication skills, and the supportive learning environment we strive to provide at Century Private School.

In music, our senior band was chosen to perform the National Anthem at the Richmond Hill Board of Trade Gala event.  Their performance marked the very first time an elementary school band performed at the event and was a wonderful accomplishment for our young musicians.

These achievements are a few that underscore the commitment of our students to academic and extracurricular pursuits, as well as the dedication of our educators to fostering an environment that encourages excellence. As we celebrate these accomplishments, we look forward to the continued growth and success of our students in their academic journey.
